The original- S.S.A first preschool founded in 2010. This beautiful center is designed with 1800’s architecture. With a spacious outdoor playground and high ceilings. Each classroom holds 10 students , creating that warm , family intimate environment for our children to feel comfortable to learn. This preschools truly does feels like a home away from home.
The academic year runs from September through June and parents are required to pay for the entire school year regardless of holidays, start dates, inclement weather, unforeseen circumstances and student absences. All parents are required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable security placement fee to secure their child’s spot in our program. This fee will be applied in June, the last month of the academic school year with proper 2 month notice provided. If families decide to end their enrollment at S.S.A, they must provide 2 months advance notice. (Summer months July/August do not apply towards notice) Please note, Security Placement fee is only refunded in the form of tuition.
Smart Start Academy’s Central Avenue location offers programs for infants as young as 6 weeks old, two and three day a week full-day preschool and a half-day preschool option for students attending classes five days per week. In addition to our extended nursery and preschool, our Heights location also offers emergency care and social enrichment, an afterschool program for children 36 months of age and older and weekday and weekend sitting for children of all ages. Additional fees are required for parents to take advantage of these additional, optional services.
With two-, three- and five-day a week preschool schedule options as well as full and half-day schedules, preschool classes at our Central Avenue location are easier to fit into each family’s busy schedule and preferences.

Additional Fees: Non- refundable Annual Application Fee: $300.00 (Cash/ Certified Check) (due every July)
Smart App Fee: $50.00 per calendar school year
Security Placement Fee: $1250.00
Yearly School Supplies & Materials: varies depending on student’s attendance schedule
Late Pick up Fees: $1 per minute
Smart Start Academy’s Tuition Policy
Smart Start Academy requires a full academic school year (Sept-June) commitment from all of our families. If commitment is not met, security placement fee, tuition, and yearly school supplies fees are forfeited. The security placement fee is not refundable, non-transferable and will only be applied to the last month of student enrollment with proper 2 FULL month’s written notice provided to the center student is attending.
